Chunghwa Telecom Banqiao IDC and Cloud Data Center
Project Description
In 2010, Taiwan’s Executive Yuan launched the Cloud Computing Industry Development Program, encouraging domestic telecommunications providers to contribute land for the development of large-scale, environmentally sustainable cloud computing infrastructure. In response to this national initiative, Chunghwa Telecom developed the Banqiao IDC and Cloud Data Center in New Taipei City with the vision of creating a world-class Green Data Center Campus.
The project was planned as a next-generation data center facility that combines advanced information technology infrastructure with sustainable development principles. Its goal is to provide one of the most secure, reliable, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible cloud computing and Internet Data Center (IDC) platforms in Taiwan.
As a key component of Taiwan’s digital infrastructure, the campus supports the growth of cloud services, data storage, and information management while demonstrating Chunghwa Telecom’s commitment to innovation, operational resilience, and green technology development.
