Changhe Park is centered around a century-old banyan tree, which serves as the symbolic heart of the park and a defining element of the local community's collective memory. The revitalization project was designed to celebrate and strengthen this iconic landmark while reorganizing the surrounding green spaces and public amenities into a cohesive and inviting landscape.
Existing mature trees were carefully preserved throughout the redevelopment. Comprehensive upgrades to the park's drainage system resolved long-standing flooding and ponding issues, while new walking and jogging paths were introduced to improve accessibility and recreational opportunities. The project transformed the entire park into a vibrant public space that accommodates visitors of all ages.
Today, Changhe Park offers a variety of comfortable and relaxing outdoor settings where residents can walk, exercise, gather, or simply pause and enjoy the natural environment, creating a welcoming neighborhood park rooted in both ecological value and local identity.
