Changhe Park is centered around a century-old banyan tree, which serves as the symbolic heart of the park and a defining element of the local community's collective memory. The revitalization project was designed to celebrate and strengthen this iconic landmark while reorganizing the surrounding green spaces and public amenities into a cohesive and inviting landscape.

Existing mature trees were carefully preserved throughout the redevelopment. Comprehensive upgrades to the park's drainage system resolved long-standing flooding and ponding issues, while new walking and jogging paths were introduced to improve accessibility and recreational opportunities.
