ianguo Park was revitalized through a landscape renewal strategy centered on its existing mature trees. Tree canopies were selectively pruned to improve sunlight penetration and enhance the overall park environment. Existing raised planting beds were removed, allowing the landscape to be reorganized around the established trees as the park’s defining feature.

The project expanded tree root zones and increased the amount of permeable green space, creating healthier growing conditions while strengthening the park’s ecological character. Red brick paving, reflecting local cultural heritage, was introduced to enhance the spatial identity of the park and reconnect visitors with the site's historical memory.

By respecting the natural growth of existing vegetation and preserving the park’s mature landscape, the redesign successfully balances ecological sustainability with cultural continuity, creating a welcoming public space that evokes both nature and community heritage.
